Art hit the streets

The city of Covilhã is known as the capital of urban art, both nationally and internationally. Driven by WOOLFEST – Covilhã Art Festival is a creative action art festival that establishes a connection between the industrial past, focused on the textile and wool sector, with its influence on the city today, which is reflected in the murals that decorate the walls of Covilhã.

Also many of the old factories, which have since been abandoned, have been converted into public spaces for creative displays such as workshops and exhibitions.
